A mid-day press conference at NBA Cafe, a drop-in at Gawad Kalinga Bulaklakan, and a mini-basketball camp with kids at Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City highlighted Allen Iverson’s first full day in the Philippines.
The six-foot, former 14-year NBA veteran is currently in the country for the PCWorx All In charity basketball match on Wednesday night, where he will coach the likes of Eddy Curry, Dermarr Johnson, and the Ball Up streetball team.
Iverson gamely answered the questions from the media during the presser, even hinting that he has lost the desire and drive to play on the hardcourt that made him a household name as part of the Philadelphia 76ers, then made visits to the GK site and made a quick stop at the basketball camp headed by multi-titled PBA head coach Tim Cone.
Capturing the behind-the-scenes happenings were top FCF lensmen Martin San Diego and Ken Koo, who followed Iverson’s loaded day.
