Whether you’re a freshman who just set foot inside the historic grounds of the University of Santo Tomas, or a returning student who’s excited to get back into the school grove, the Thomasian Welcome Walk (a ritual of celebrating the arrival of new Tigers) would definitely be one of the highlights of your year. It’s a great way for the new kids on the block to get to know their new home, and for the upperclassmen to learn more about the fresh faces in the community.

Thomasian life is not always about fun, and there will be times when you would have to brave a flood of obstacles—literally. As a frosh, so many things will surely appear entirely alien to you–from the school rules to the USTe vocabulary. But fret not, because FCF brings you useful tips from some of the UST Growling Tigers themselves, to help you go through your first, second, third, or senior year like a pro.

Carmelo Afuang: Welcome to college. Just enjoy your college life because it will be worth the experience. Being a college student means being more responsible and having more responsibilities. It also gives more freedom to us that can create more temptations like not going to classes. So before the school year starts, you should set your goals, know your responsibilities and just accept and overcome the challenges that will come to you that can and will make you a better person.
Clark Bautista: Be friendly and true to people.

Kevin Ferrer: Enjoy and be friendly para maraming friends.

Jeric Fortuna: Watch UAAP games.

Will the Salinggawi Dance Troupe reclaim its UAAP Cheerdance Competition supremacy this year? Line up for tickets and find out.

Ron Javier: Puntahan lahat ng UST events para makasama sa history! *thumbs up*

Kim Lo: Aim high and continue working hard but the most important thing is to enjoy what you are doing

Aljon Mariano: Pag umulan na ng malakas, umalis na agad kung ayaw ninyo ma-stranded. Mabilis bumaha sa UST. Hahaha!

Jamil Sheriff: Just focus on your schooling, attend your classes and you’ll be good.

Robin Tan: Be yourself, have an open mind, (and) make new friends.
