Derrick Rose has returned.
On the heels of missing out an entire season after physically and mentally recovering from a devastating knee injury, the Chicago Bulls’ star guard did not disappoint the throng of hoops fans that braved the stormy weather to witness him in a brief match during the adidas D-Rose 3-on-3 Asian Finals at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.
Playing with the tournament champions Thailand against the trio of professional hoops stars JC Intal, Josh Urbiztondo, and Chris Tiu, Rose hit the big shots from beyond the arc to lift their squad to a narrow two-point victory in the exhibition match.
Following the event, the Chicago native held a closed-door practice session to continuously prepare himself for his much-anticipated return in the upcoming NBA season.
