NBA legend Allen Iverson may be the star of the night, but Kiefer Ravena stole the show in leading Team PCWorx past Team Gawad Kalinga (GK), 98-96, in the PCWorx All In charity basketball match on Wednesday night at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Entering the fourth quarter tied at 73-all, the all-collegiate squad rolled up their sleeves and took the streetballers of Ball Up head on to keep the game close up to the final seconds.
Despite their effort, Larry “Bone Collector” Williams scored 13 in the final period lifted their lead to as high as 10, 83-73, entering the final four minutes of the period.
But ex-PBA import DerMarr Johnson, who led Team PCWorx’s cause with 24 markers and 10 rebounds, buried three crucial treys down the stretch to knot the contest at 96-all entering the dying seconds of the ballgame.
With Team GK missing their close-range attempt at the basket, Ravena then took control of the leather, splitting the defense of Grayson “The Professor” Boucher and getting a little help from Ola Adeogun to put up the game-winner with 1.3 seconds left.
The seemingly cool Team GK head coach Allen Iverson sued for time, but his tactic off the timeout failed when Anthony “Mr. Afrika” Pimble saw his jump shot at the top of the key fall short at the buzzer.
Ravena, together with Jeron Teng, finished with 16 points each. Troy Rosario added 12, while Mac Belo contributed 11.
Here are highlights from the day as captured by top FCF lensmen Martin San Diego and Ken Koo:

The first half of the game was a dunk fest for the BallUp Streetballers

The second half became more serious as team PCWorx stayed close

Iverson gave signed balls at the half

One of the lucky fans was this guy on the left, former Senator and PBA Legend Robert Jaworski

Kiefer Ravena slipped the ball in just in time to save the game

Even “The Answer” can’t believe what Kiefer did
