He was supposed to just sit on the bench and coach the young guns how to play better ball, but like his first visit to Manila two years ago, LeBron James can’t just sit and wait.

To the delight of the Filipino fans watching at the Mall of Asia Arena, James took on a jersey in the last five minutes of the scrimmage between Nike Rise kids and select players, not just to turn the game around, but also to turn up the mood of every fan present at the Arena.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist is in Manila for Nike’s Rise program where underprivileged kids who stood out with their basketball skills are given professional training for one and a half month at the House of Rise.
