Eight-time World boxing champion Manny Pacquiao will go on a three-week trip to Calcutta, India. Now a changed man, he believes that the place where Mother Teresa devoted her life will help guide him in his newfound faith.
“I’m always having fun in training and in boxing. I think it’s because boxing is my passion. But iba na ito. May time na I told myself, just do it, you know.” he was quoted as saying. “I want to go out there and share my faith. These people need me, you know.”
Many were skeptical but he stressed that he was serious about it.
He said he was really looking forward to the trip, saying this was something that had to be done at least once. “Sigurado ako na this is an experience I will never forget in my life.”
The pambansang kamao, as he is lovingly called by pinoys everywhere, will leave for his mission following his fight against American boxer, Timothy Bradley, on June 9.
