Teknika FC, representing the National Capital Region, takes home the inaugural SMART-Philippine Football Federation Club Championship on Monday at the legendary Rizal Memorial Stadium as they defeated SMART San Beda FC on Monday to end the month-long tournament that pits various club teams representing different PFF-member Football Associations across the country.

Entering the return match, Teknika took an all-important 3-nil win in the first leg via a hat trick by eventual tournament Most Valuable Player Izzeldin El-Habbib in a match that saw the San Beda side shorthanded with the loss of four key players in Phil and James Younghusband, Andres Gonzales and Adrian Conception who served one match suspensions due to accumulated yellow cards.

But in the second leg, it was the Younghusband brothers who scored all-important goals in the 13th (Phil) and 72nd (James) minutes to keep their hopes at bringing home the title alive under the Rizal FA banner.

However, missed close range opportunities in the final stages put the game away and gave the Dan Palami-owned club the title in the process.
