The squad would then burst from a huddle, fingers pointed to to the sky and members hugging the nearest person they could find.

Fullcourtfresh.com has covered the UAAP Cheerdance Competition from the floor and sidelines for the past four years, and catching that split second of victory’s ecstasy has always been an honor.

Before the eight squads compete on Sunday, we searched our archives for the poignant winning moments that our snapshooters caught during the competition from 2010 to 2013.

Here they are:

2010: The UP Pep Squad started took the crown away from the FEU Cheering Squad with a fiesta routine

2011: The Diliman squad stayed strong with their back-to-back win, channeling Madonna with their blond hair to win the UAAP CDC anew.

DLSU also rejoiced after getting a podium finish

2012: The UP Pep Squad surprised everyone with bald heads matching their bold performance

NU also rejoiced after getting their first podium finish in the competition

2013: National University pushed UP off the top, bagging its first-ever championship in the tournament

Despite slipping to 2nd place, the UP Pep Squad still managed to show smiles

The DLSU Animo Squad made a top 3 comeback with their military-esque performance.
