After a long day that included a mini-basketball camp and a silent auction, NBA All-Star Kevin Love took time to answer questions for the local media ahead of the Master GameFace match Saturday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The 6-foot-10 power forward, who arrived in the country a day earlier, spent his morning by conducting a mini-camp at the Manila Boystown despite a sudden downpour slightly dampening the mood of the event that was supposed to take place in the foundation’s newly-refurbished outdoor court.
Later in the day, various Kevin Love-signed 361 Degrees apparel and Gilas Pilipinas team memorabilia from their historic 2013 FIBA Asia Championship run went on sale during a silent auction that was held in the evening at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati
The GameFace All-Star match will tip off at 7:00pm, featuring an all-star cast of players from the PBA, NCAA, and UAAP led by playing team captains Chris Tiu and Marc Pingris. At halftime, Love will compete in a Shooting Stars competition and a three-point shootout against some of the country’s top long-distance snipers.
