Ateneo guard Kiefer Ravena organized the second edition of Fastbreak at the Blue Eagle Gym last Saturday, this time to benefit the victims of the recent super typhoon Yolanda.

Among those in tow for the event were Blue Eagles teammates Nico Elorde, Chris Newsome, and Von Pessumal. Younger brother Thirdy Ravena appeared together with Under-23 team standouts Bobby Ray Parks, Jr., Garvo Lanete, Kevin Alas, Jake Pascual, and Matt Ganuelas.

Celebrities who participated in the event included Gerald Anderson, Vhong Navarro, Billy Crawford, Jhong Hilario, Ervic Vijandre, Young JV, and Marco Alcaraz. Musical acts included Hansom, and Midnight Meetings, with a special performance by the Company of Ateneo Dancers.

Among the highlights in the exhibition match was the extended delay in the first quarter due to a powerful slam dunk by Matt Ganuelas, leading to an impromptu performance from the tandem of Ravena and Newsome, and an assisted dunk by comedian Jose Manalo through the “support” of Von Pessumal and Kevin Alas.
