Matt Bonner of the San Antonio Spurs joins the long list of NBA stars who have made their stop to the Philippines’ capital, as he took some time during the off-season to tutor kids in the recent NBA FIT program presented by Sun Life Financial.
The sweet-shooting forward, known mostly for his long-range prowess as he competed in the Three-Point Shootout during the 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston, conducted clinics as part of the league’s NBA Cares program at Ronac Art Center, Mall of Asia Arena, and SM Southmall during his three-day stay from September 6-8.
“Any time that I could be part of the goodwill (of NBA Cares and) working with the kids, I really enjoy it,” said the 6-foot-10 slotman.
Previously, the FIT Clinic has been presided by some of the top names in the league, including the Miami Heat’s multi-titled Filipino-American head coach Erik Spoelstra.
