The Far Eastern University Tamaraws bounced back and trashed the struggling De La Salle Green Archers, 93-75 to clinch their second win in UAAP Season 78.
The veteran duo of Mike Tolomia and Mac Belo combined for 37 points to bring the Tamaraws back to the winning column after succumbing to the UST Growling Tigers in their last game. Resident import Prince Orizu almost finished with a double-double after registering 12 points and 9 boards as he manned down the paint for the Tamaraw frontline.
With the win, the Tamaraws improved to 2-1 behind league-leader UST, which defeated the UP Fighting Maroons in the first game of this Sunday doubleheader.

The Tamaraws are considered to be this season’s yardstick. However, FEU head coach Nash Racela was quick to play down expectations for last season’s runner-up. “Very unpredictable yung season 78.” said Racela.
Meanwhile, King archer Jeron Teng led all scorers after registering a double-double after finishing with a game-high 29 points coupled with 10 rebounds. Rookie Andrei Caracut chipped in 13 markers to banner La Salle in a white flag effort for the Archers.
FEU will try to build on a winning streak as they face the perennial cellar-dweller the UP Fighting Maroons on Sunday while DLSU will face the lowly Adamson University Soaring Falcons this Saturday.
