The ADMU Blue Eagles banked on a big first half to take an easy 74-65 win over the UP Fighting Maroons earlier today at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The win marked the Blue Eagles’ fourth consecutive and they now sport an 8-4 win-loss card with two games left on their elimination round schedule.
On the other hand, the Fighting Maroons fell to 3-8, but are still mathematically in contention for a Final Four slot.

“We really benefited from our 10 day break kasi yung games namin before the break ay gitgitan,” shared ADMU’s star guard Kiefer Ravena after the game.
Ravena tallied 16 points, three rebounds, and five assists to lead the Blue Eagles while Adrian Wong finished with 14 points, three rebounds, and three assists off the bench.
The Blue Eagles led by as much as 19 points and did not allow UP to take the lead after the first quarter. Ateneo’s bench outscored UP’s, 38-32, and as a team, the Blue Eagles shot 51 percent from the field.
UP was bannered by Diego Dario who scored 13 points. Amar Agustini and Jett Manuel added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
