With the recent issue about Coach Boy Sablan being fired as the head coach of UST Growling Tigers, a lot of stories and names flew out in the air of who is going to replace Coach Sablan including Coach Aldin Ayo.
The issue spread out during the end of the eliminations and with this, Coach Aldin finally made a statement regarding his “move” to Espana.
“I don’t want to comment on that kasi I have lots of friends from UST. My former athletic coordinator, yung pari na nagdala sakin sa Manila…pero regarding the issue. I don’t want to comment on that.”
Although, he also stated that his contract with La Salle will end this December and that the three-year contract and the 9-million offer was not true.
He wants the people to know that he is not doing this for money but because he loves his craft and his players.
“I just signed a contract sa La Salle last September that will expire this December. Wala akong kontrata na nine million tapos three years. Lumalabas na ginagawa natin ito dahil sa pera. I’m doing this because I love basketball and I just want to win. I have enough, simple lang yung lifestyle ko.”
To end, the Coach in Green would like to forgive all the people who doubted and bashed him because he is thankful enough to be coaching for La Salle.
“Despite na madaming sinasabi sa akin or tine-threaten yung pamilya ko or anu-ano, I forgive you.”
