The Fil-Canadian slotman who was once part of the Philippines’ national youth squad, poured 11 of his game-high of 21 points in the 4th quarter to bring the 101-year old institution to their 16th Final Four appearance since the format’s institution in 1993.
Terrence Romeo had 13 points, while exiting forward Mark Bringas piled on 12 points in his UAAP farewell match.
Despite a good start by the Tamaraws, they once again failed to deliver in the endgame as they allowed a 17-0 run in the late stages that eventually spelled their doom.
