In their final game against a formidable and desperate opponent, De La Salle University used their might inside to get the victory.

sidebar-uaap76DLSU survived a late-game push by University of Santo Tomas to post a 69-64 victory on Saturday night at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Jeron Teng scored 19 points and 11 rebounds, including eight points coming in the pivotal moments of the fourth quarter, to aid the Green Archers in completing a seven-game romp in the second round.

But the biggest revelation has been Norbert Torres posted one of his better games this season, tallying 14 points on a near-perfect 5-for-6 shooting with 13 rebounds. The Fil-Canadian completed six of the Archers’ 19 offensive rebounds that led to a 21-2 advantage in second chance points.

Karim Abdul led the Tigers with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Aljon Mariano added 16 points in the loss.

The Green Archers complete their best finish since 2008 to draw a virtual best-of-three showdown in the Final Four against Far Eastern University.
