Mike Tolomia wakes up in the second half to lead the Far Eastern University Tamaraws’ charge to the top of the UAAP Season 77 men’s basketball standings, defeating De La Salle University, 74-70, on Wednesday, August 27, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Tolomia tallied a total of 22 points, highlighted by a dagger lay-up off his missed free throw attempt with seven seconds left in the game. 19 of Tolomia’s points came from the second half.

Jeron Teng led the Green Archers’ failed attempt to clinch the top spot with 28 points and four assists.

FEU now sits on top of the rankings with an 8-2 record, while DLSU falls to 7-3, tied with Ateneo de Manila University and National University.
