Far Eastern University remains undefeated in men’s basketball after it trashed University of the East on Sunday, 92-66, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
Ending the game with a huge 26-point lead, the Tamaraws easily extended their winning streak to four with the reliable tandem of RR Garcia and Terrence Romeo leading them.
The Red Warriors, who managed to dominate the first quarter with a four point advantage, failed to forward successfully after that. Roi Sumang chipped in eight points out of the 18 they fielded.
Tamaraw Chris Tolomia opened the second quarter with a three and teammate Garcia followed up a few seconds after to change the lead into their favor. FEU continued their onslaught with Anthony Hargrove also stepping up to bulldoze UE.
The next quarter was again opened with a triple, now coming from Garcia. Multiple fouls also opened free throws for the winning team.
In the final quarter, Garcia and Romeo were back on a roll with Gryann Mendoza following. Fellow Tamaraw Reymar Jose finishes the game with a jumper at the last second.
FEU be battling National University next for a possible fifth straight win while UE will again attempt for their first win with Ateneo de Manila University.
