The Philippine Women’s National Football Team scored its biggest ever win against Hong Kong, 4-0, and ended the first round of the 2024 Olympic qualifying tournament with three bagels Tuesday evening at Hisor, Tajikistan.

Star forward Sarina Bolden led the Filipinas with a brace in the first half while Merryl Serrano and Quinley Quezada added a goal each.

Bolden got her first goal in the fifth minute of the match, with a counterattacking run that cleared the closeout of goalkeeper Ng Cheuk Wai.

Bolden scored her brace in the 41st minute with a strike off a long ball from Sara Eggesvik for her 20th international goal.

Serrano added to the Filipinas tally in the 44th minute, with a 20-yard free kick from top for her fourth international goal.

Quezada was the lone scorer for the Filipinas in the second half, with an 19-yard shot from top of the box in the 53rd minute.

Forward Cheung Wai Ki had the only shot for Hong Kong in the 87th minute but her shot was handily blocked and cleared by Reina Bonta.

In previous games, the Philippines shut down Tajikistan, 8-0, on Black Saturday, and Pakistan, 4-0, last Wednesday.

By sweeping Group E of the Olympic qualifiers first round, the Filipinas enter Pot 3 of the second round slated in October 23, alongside Thailand and Uzbekistan.

Australia, Japan, and China are in Pot 1; South Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan are in Pot 2; and India, Iran, and North Korea are in Pot 4.

Only the top team in the three groups plus the best runner-up will advance to the third round of the qualifications. The top two teams of the third round will advance to the Olympic games in Paris next year.
