Gatorade launched their new limited edition flavor, the kiwi-based Green Fury, at the Chelsea pitch earlier this week with the much-awaited FIFA World Cup just days away.

With “Unreal” as the brand’s international battle cry, it celebrates extraordinary performance by athletes worldwide.

FC Barcelona star and Argentine international Lionel Messi is featured on the bottle, while Argentina/Manchester city’s Sergio Aguero, Real Madrid/Spain’s Sergio Ramos, and Brazil/Chelsea’s David Luiz have come on board as brand ambassadors.

Locally, Azkals Chieffy Caligdong (Green Archers United) and Phil and James Younghusband
(booth Loyola Meralco Sparks are associated with the brand.

Azkal Nate Burkey (Pachanga Diliman) led a football camp for media before teaming up with James for a 10-minute scrimmage, with Phil and Chieffy leading the other side and both teams having more than 11 players of all ages and genders.

Team James/Nate opened the scoring at the first minute with Rivals’ Levi Verora Jr. through Nate. Burkey then slotted the second one before. Phil put one back for his team at the 7th minute but they couldn’t equalize by the end whistle.

Gatorade Green Fury is available for a limited time, most likely during the FIFA World Cup
