Far Eastern University got revenge for last season’s finals defeat against defending champion National University with a slim 61-59 victory.

Mike Tolomia led the Morayta squad with 19 points, highlighted by back-to-back threes late in the fourth period (2:31 and 1:49). FEU ends the first round sharing the top spot with UST with a 6-1 record, while NU stays at fifth with 3-4.
