A crowd of 21,943 avid fans turned up at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on November 28 for the UAAP Men’s Basketball Finals Game Two between University of Santo Tomas and Far Eastern University.
The coliseum was filled up to General Admission section, with hundreds more lined up outside patiently waiting for a chance to get in. Some fans were still even making their way to their seats during the second half of match.
The security guards at the Araneta Center had to direct vehicles (whose passengers were obviously going to the game) to other parking venues because the parking spaces around the coliseum were already filled.

Fans of UST and FEU were very rabid in their show of support. Smart Araneta was bathed in a sea of yellow as both groups coincidentally wore yellow shirts.
The UST side brought yellow and white balloons, and proudly displayed their cellphones that they switched to white screens. Meanwhile, the FEU displayed their cellphones that they switched to green screens.
Among the notable FEU alumni in the audience was “It’s Showtime” host Vice Ganda. Ex-UST Coach Pido Jarencio cheered on his former players.
Fans also carried handmade banners proclaiming love for their favorite ballers.
Audience attendance is expected to reach record-breaking point for the winner-take-all match on Wednesday December 2 at SM MOA Arena.
