During the epic double-overtime match between cross-avenue rivals University of the East and Far Eastern University, players fought tooth and nail during the 50 minutes to ensure victory for their side.
Even a simple matter on who maintains possession on an out-of-bounds play was so crucial that both Carl Bryan Cruz and Lord Casajeros had to do their best impression of saying “it wasn’t me!” in order to maintain their innocence and keep ball possession for their respective side.
Not to be outdone, though, was UE head coach Boycie Zamar in quickly pointing out that (a) Cruz was the one who touched the ball last, and/or (b) UE should maintain possession.
In the end, the breaks of the game fell in the favor of the league-leading FEU side, as they won by a count of 98-94.
