On a rain-soaked pitch at the University of Makati Stadium on Saturday night, James Younghusband finally got back at his brother from a crushing defeat a year ago.

Team James captured a 4-1 result over Team Phil in this year’s Clear Dream Match to set up a potentially explosive rubber match to settle the score.

Prominent players in the match included former Italian national squad defender Fabio Cannavaro to reinforce Team James’ winning cause, while ex-England midfielder Dennis Wise backed Team Phil’s squad.

Global FC forward Izzo El Habbib was named both best striker and MVP following a two-goal performance. James Younghusband, on the other hand, connected on the other two.

Numerous awardees in the match came from Team James, which included Yves Ashime (best defender), Saba Garmaroudi (best goalkeeper), and Misagh Bahadoran (Player of the Game). On the other hand, Chris Greatwich (best midfielder) was the lone award-winner from Team Phil’s squad.
