Three of four-game slate feature “Blue vs Green” matches in different divisions

Finally, the much anticipated matchup between the two rivals is set.

Amidst initial announcement of a schedule change to Sunday, June 2 to coincide with the second Blue vs Green Dream Game organized by the Philippine Basketball Association at the Mall of Asia Arena, the first matchup between rivals De La Salle University and Ateneo de Manila University in the 2013 Filoil Flying V Pre-Season tourney will still be on Saturday, June 1 at The Arena in San Juan City.

In a statement released to the press and the general public, organizers of the tournament pointed out that the schedule has been reverted to its original date and venue due to the availability of the teams involved in the day’s match.

As scheduled, the main event pitting two of the fiercest rivals in Philippine sports will tip off at 4:00pm. The juniors match between De La Salle Zobel and Ateneo de Manila will open up the day’s festivities at 9:00am, while the women’s division match commences at 11:00am.

Meanwhile, the final Group A matchup between Adamson University and San Beda College will serve as a primer to the De La Salle-Ateneo showdown at 2:00pm.

Since the tournament’s inception in 2006, the Green Archers have won all of their previous matches against their counterparts from Katipunan Avenue.
