The Azkals ends another friendly in a draw, but the 2-2 result is enough cause for celebration. Facing Indonesia which ousted them after two games away at the Suzuki Cup almost two years ago, the Philippines finally got the home game they never had.
Following a scoreless first half, Patrick Wanggai scored for Indonesia in the 58th minute on a header from a cross by Oktovianus Maniani and was immediately followed with an equalizer by James Younghusband. Irfan Bachdim gave Indonesia their second goal in the 61st minute.
A scuffle in the 78th minute caused three red cards to be given to Bachdim, Chieffy Caligdong and Manny Ott, Phil Younghusband scored a goal off a pass by brother James in the 84th minute.
The Azkals will return to football action on June 12 against Guam at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City.
