A costly defensive error by De La Salle University gave University of Santo Tomas it’s second UAAP women’s football championship title at the 74th season tournament finals on Sunday at the Ateneo High School field.

DLSU’s Paula Bravo found herself sandwiched in mid-air by keeper Hanna Ibarra and UST’s Jowe-Ann Barrugo, who headed in a cross from Christin Fuertes in the 67th minute. Ibarra lost her hold on the ball, which gave the Tigresses a 1-0 victory.

UST last won the tournament in 2009.
