The defending champion University of the Philippines defeated the Ateneo de Manila University at the start of second round of the UAAP Season 74 Mens Football tournament, thanks to a penalty kick by Ghanian midfielder Nii Aryee Ayi during the 85th minute after he was fouled by Ateneo’s Wilson Marcelino.
