Spanish football club Internacional de Madrid (CFIM) outclassed Azkals-UFL Alyansa, 3-1, in the ‘Dili kamo nag-iisa’ charity game for Sendong victims Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.

The Spaniards jumped the gun early in the match, with forward Rufino Sanchez converting a penalty kick off a foul from Azkals goalkeeper Eduard Sacapaño at the 15th minute and Daniel Fernandez scoring a goal in the 32nd minute to end the first half with a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Red Cross representatives show autographed jerseys from Copa del Rey champions Real Madrid CF. CF Internacional de Madrid brought along 3 signed jerseys from the La Liga team. One kit was signed by Cristiano Ronaldo while the other Real Madrid kit was signed by the whole team. Iker Casillas signed the Spanish National Football Team kit. CFIM even came out roaring from the dugouts at the start of the second half as midfielder Ignacio Benache Feijoo blasted a goal in the 46th minute to put his team in a commanding 3-0 lead.

But fans caught a glimpse of hope as Azkals mainstay James Younghusband scored a header off a cross from Chieffy Caligdong in the 62nd minute to give the Philippine side its lone goal of the match. But CFIM maintained composure and prevented every attack made by the Azkals Alyansa, which is comprised of members of the Philippine Azkals and stars of the United Football League, to secure the victory.

The ‘Dili kamo nag-iisa’ charity football match is organized for the benefit of victims of tropical storm Sendong that ravaged Northern Mindanao.
