Three universities will battle it out for the last final ticket in the UAAP women’s football championship later today at the University of the Philippines (UP) Football Stadium.

In the first game, the UP Fighting Lady Maroons will tussle against the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses in a must-win game for both squads.

In the second game, the De La Salle University Lady Archers is likewise in a must-win situation against final-bound Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws.

The burden is heavier for the Tigresses, who are vying for a win against State U and hoping for a La Sallian loss. In such a scenario, UST will force a one-game playoff for the right to face FEU.

Meanwhile, a UP win and a La Salle loss will eliminate both the Lady Archers and the Tigresses en route to a rematch between the 2022 PFF Women’s Cup finalists.

However, a draw by La Salle in case of a UP win will force a do-or-die playoff for the championship game between the two schools.

La Salle will go straight to the finals if the UP versus UST match will end in a draw or if the Lady Archers could repeat their first round win against the Lady Tamaraws.

The Lady Archers dealt FEU its only loss of the season thus far with a 3-2 edging last March 25 while UP and UST drew their first round match, 1-1, last February 25.

The first game will start at 4:30 PM while the second game is expected to kick off at around 6:30 PM.
