Brandon Vera and Eugene Toquero saved the night for Filipino MMA fans as the two defeated their opponents in dominating fashion.

Toquero, the quick crowd favorite, pounded Li Wei Bin towards the end of the second round which resulted in a TKO after a corner stoppage.

Vera obliterated substitute-opponent Paul Cheng in 26 seconds to claim ONE Championship’s inaugural World Heavyweight Championship belt.

Ana Julaton and Mark Mugen Striegl on the other hand lost, to the home crowd’s dismay, to Irina Mazepa and Reece McLaren respectively.
