The UP Pep Squad made multiple podium finishes at the 8th Cheerleading World Championship’s first competition day in Berlin on Sunday night, PHL time.
According to the competition’s official website, the Philippines already won five medals: two silvers and three bronzes. Three medals were courtesy of the Pep Squad ng Bayan.
The UP Pep Squad placed second at the All Female Team Cheer, while they finished 3rd in the Cheerleading Doubles and Small Groups Mixed categories.
The remaining medal wins were courtesy of QC PADFI for silver at the Cheer Dance Duo Juniors, and Ballet Philippines for the bronze medal in Cheer Dance Duo Seniors
