The dynamic duo of Kiefer Ravena and Von Pessumal combine for 52 points to lead the ADMU Blue Eagles past the NU Bulldogs, 68-59, earlier today at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Blue Eagles managed to hold off NU’s persistent attempts to rally, including their final run late in the fourth quarter that saw the Bulldogs trim the ADMU lead to just 4, 59-55. However, Ravena and Pessumal managed to keep their foes at bay as they hold on for the win.

Ravena scored 21 of his game-high 32 points in the first quarter while Pessumal picked up the slack in the second half, tallying 17 of his 20 points over the last 20 minutes.

Gelo Alolino led the Bulldogs with 17 points and five rebounds while Alfred Aroga scored 10 and grabbed 14 rebounds, but made just 33 percent of his field goal attempts.

The win marked Ateneo’s third consecutive and seventh in 11 games this season. It also solidified their hold on third place in the standings as they lead fourth place DLSU and trail the league-leading UST Growling Tigers and FEU Tamaraws.
Meanwhile, the defending champion NU saw its win-loss slate drop to 4-7.
