Defending champion National University Bulldogs keep its hopes for a title defense alive after escaping the claws of UAAP Season 78 doormats Adamson University Soaring Falcons, 85-79, Wednesday October 21 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Bulldogs struggled to get loose ahead the Soaring Falcons, who pushed the game to overtime courtesy of a backdoor play by Ivan Villanueva, 72 all.

Eric Alramitano’s squad slowly pulled away in the extra period courtesy of JJ Alejandro’s breakout game, where he scored 8 of his 22.

The 1-9 Falcons were led by Sarr with 32 points and 17 rebounds.
