University of Santo Tomas’ Salinggawi Dance Troupe needed no introductions at the 2015 Cheerdance Competition last October 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena, as right from the start of their African-themed routine, the squad intimidated every other school with a large image of the Growling Tiger.
With their impressive performances, ‘Gawi improved its finish to 2nd from a 3rd place last year. UST scored a total of 651.5 points, 354 of which was for the dance part of their routine. Salinggawi got the highest number of points for dance, 14 points more than the 340 score of first placer NU Pep Squad.
