
The Micromax Indian Aces and the United Arab Emirates Royals pulled off the inaugural wins following day one of the 2014 Coca-Cola International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) on Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The team of Gael Monfils, Rohan Bopanna, Ana Ivanovic, Sania Mirza, and playing-coach Fabrice Santoro bested the Singapore Slammers, 26-16 in the opening game.

On the other hand, the Royals – composed of Marin Cilic, Goran Ivanisevic, Kristina Mladenovic, and Nenad Zimonjic – bested the hometown Manila Mavericks, 29-24, later in the nightcap.
