Ateneo de Manila University, after putting in the hard work throughout the season and in five do-or-die games in this season’s UAAP Season 76 playoffs, proved worthy of lifting the women’s volleyball championship after conquering a seemingly insurmountable thrice-to-beat disadvantage against the “four-peat” seeking De La Salle University.
Alyssa Valdez, who nabbed both the season and finals Most Valuable Player awards, said it best that they played without pressure and delivered when it mattered the most.
The “Heart Strong” mantra of Head Coach Anusorn “Tai” Bundit prevailed, proving that it was the final piece of their puzzle to conquer the De La Salle Green Machine.
