Undefeated in their own clusters, UP Diliman and Ateneo de Manila University are seeded to the semifinals of the University FrIXbee Championship.

In this inaugural tournament backed by Hygienix, Coppertone, Havaianas, and San Miguel Corporation, the Diliman squad will face the victor between UP Los Baños and De La Salle University while the Katipunan team will face the winner between University of Santo Tomas and De La Salle Canlubang.

Rain or shine, this tournament organized by UP Diliman Ultimate Organization (UP DUO) will push through on Saturday at the UP Sunken Garden.

De La Salle University and University of Santo Tomas yielded with only 1 defeats from their respective groups, while UP Los Baños and De La Salle Canlubang lost twice in their matches.

Teams who failed to qualify in the final round of six squads will still see action in a round robin format to determine their respective finishes.

Free clinic for beginners will also be held from 8am to 1pm and will be open to all.

Held for the first time, UP DUO aims to make this event as an annual affair with more tertiary level-based teams to follow.
